So sue me, I’m an 80’s child and my loyalty to Michael Jackson continued into the 90’s….even though his “Black Or White” song sucked, it stuck! But that’s beside the point. We took Graham to visit the firehouse not too long ago, a good friend of mine is the Chief, and Graham LOVED it. Thank goodness I took my camera. My struggle when editing is: Does it matter if it’s black and white? I’m a fan of black and white. I remember when I was in high school and college, I would take my 35mm Canon, load it with b&w film and shoot all day. Then I would spend money I didn’t have on developing the prints. I don’t have expensive editing software, I literally use iPhoto on my MacBook….but I find myself ALWAYS duplicating an imagine in b&w. So here’s my question to you 5 people that actually read my blog: When looking at these two images side-by-side, which do you prefer, color or b&w? Comment below and let me know. Have a great day! Don’t catch your head on fire. (See what I did there?)
I love bw too, but I like the color on this one. And I’ll forgive you for the blasphemous MJ comment.
Ha! Thanks for the comment. And I love MJ…just like 80’s MJ more. 😉
I love the black and white. I am always editing my pictures so I have both color and black and white.
I love B&W photos, especially of kiddos. Adds some innocence to the pics.
I think just do both ! I love seeing the Cole of his hair peeking out from under the fire helmet
I love both of these pics as much as ’80s MJ! The black & white enhances emotion. That’s the appeal to me.
Color has a place too. It all depends on the photo.
I think the color shows more depth since the photo has a busy background. BTW I am reading your blog!
First, let’s get one thing straight before we can continue being friends – none of MJ’s songs suck. Second, I love black and white and color pics equally, just depends on the picture which I like better. For this pic, I love the color because it shows Graham’s sweet rosy cheeks. But you know me, I’m a color gal.
